Finally! I can talk. I can share. I can let out my excitement!!!
Last June, I had the pleasure of photographing Meghan Telpner again for her new cookbook, The UnDiet Cookbook. Then I sat on those images, and waited patiently for October 6 of this year to roll around. They day the book hit the shelves.
Finally, after 483 days, which is in fact 41,731,200 seconds, I can finally share my excitement about this gorgeous book. The UnDiet Cookbook. The reason I am so excited, is not just because my photos are in it, but because I believe in Meghan and this book so much. And if I can take photos that help people want to pick up and engage with the book, then I am helping people take steps to living their best lives. And that matters to me.
For those reasons, I’m incredibly proud to be associated with this stunner of a publication, and even more proud to be the photographer of the images of Meghan. I had the pleasure of photographing her first book, Undiet. It was such a huge success, and made this second round even more exciting as we took the photography to another level. This book is in fact of a different level. It’s a game changer.
The gorgeous food photography in this book was created by Maya Visnyei, and I took the images of Meghan that appear throughout the book. We had an amazing team for this shoot — you can’t take things to the next level alone! In particular, the collective vision became a whole with stylist Tiffany Pratt, make up Maureen Greenstein, photo support Nikki Leigh McKean and food support Sara Kuntz.
That said, the team wouldn’t be assembled, and we wouldn’t be doing this work, if not for Meghan’s vision, beliefs and conviction. Oh, and her infections style, energy and vitality that was my number one aim of trying to convey through the images. Thank you, Meghan, for creating a platform for your team to create, and also for all of your readers to enjoy. I am proud to call you a friend.
Here are some of my favourite spreads above, just to tease you.
