As we’ve all seen a million “year in reviews” in the past week, I don’t need to tell you that 2015 was a heck of a year. What I will tell you as I put my year-end collection together, it was, in addition to all of the terrible things that happened around the world, also an undeniably exquisite year of love. (And I’m not just saying that because I watched “Love Actually” over the Holidays!) I witnessed it myself, as you will see in the slideshow below. As I put it together as a collection, I was moved by the access that I was given this year to so many people’s hearts. Their lives. Their loves.
Here is the slideshow below that I made for you to see what I saw. I hope it makes you smile, feel warm-hearted, and even some love for people you know or don’t know! I recommend watching on your computer or iPad (not so great viewed on the phone). Click on the bottom right hand square to watch it in full screen.
I make it no secret that I want every family to have authentic family photos taken of them. I think they are that important! And I am aware that for a variety of reasons, many people can’t make such a luxury happen.
Do you know someone like that? Do you know a family that you’d love to have amazing family photos, but they can’t afford it right now?
Well it just so happens that I am giving away a free photoshoot, to start my year off! Let’s make that family’s dream a reality!
Here’s the deal:
Send an email to me at Catherine@documentographer.com, with a nomination of a person/family that you think should win the photo shoot.
Include their name, their contact info, and the reason why you want them to have it.
I will announce the winner on Valentine’s Day! They will receive a 1.5 hour family shoot in their home, or location of their choice (in the Toronto region).
Note : You can’t nominate yourself. And it can’t be a family that I have photographed before.
In closing, I want to say a special Thank You to my clients of 2015.
Thank you for inviting me into your lives, for sharing your precious moments with me, and for trusting in me to capture them for you.
An extra special Thank You goes to the family shoots that were born out of former wedding clients. I was moved to realize how many of you there were this year, and it really is my greatest honour to be invited back into your lives, and to continue to help you archive your exquisite lives. First I was a witness to your unions, and now a celebrant of what you create together.
Thank you for that.
