In February, I had the great pleasure of spending the day photographing the Bastable Family. They were an inspiration, let me tell you. They managed and turned melt-downs around with ease I have never seen. And they even brought the whole family to a restaurant for lunch — an adult restaurant at that. According to them, this was no big deal because they started going there when the oldest girl was just a baby. Brilliant! We hung out together, tobogganed, baked cookies, read stories and played. All you could ever ask for in a day, really. They just did their Saturday thing, and I just did mine.
I loved this day so much, I have been joking about how I can get myself adopted. A photo nanny, perhaps?
